The museum became a protected national heritage site in 2001 and it also house Marley’s Tuff Gong recording studio. However taking the tour of the museum gives you good insight of “King of Reggae” life. The museum has many exhibits like photographs, records, cloths and bullet wall showcasing different stages of this legends life.
To be very honest with you I am not a big fan of reggae music, however after my visit to this museum I somehow started liking the music. When I took the tour I got to learn so many things about Bob Marley’s life other than his music or revolutionary image.
The museum also houses a café where you can enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine along with a shop selling memorabilia. There are many tour operators offering a tour of this Museum, however I would suggest of taking the tour on your own. The venue allows s you to see every aspect of the life of Bob Marley.
The Museum gets visitors from every corner of the world. The entry fee of the museum is about $20 for adults and $10 for kids. The tour of the entire museum doest last more than one and a half hour. The museum opens from Monday to Saturday and the timing of the museum is from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm.
